Things students don't care about: a bunch of degrees from a few different schools, various teaching licenses in a bunch of things.
Things students do care about: one degree came from Australia complete with camping in the Outback amidst large spiders, as well as lots of college credits from riding a boat around the world.
Things students don't care about: imparting EF coaching, time management, and organizational skills through house-parenting hundreds of teenagers over 15 years
Things students do care about: I can tell stories about driving a dune buggy in the Sahara desert, running the with bulls in Pamplona, conquering a few marathons and skydiving.
Things students don't care about: teaching explicit writing steps through stepped grammar and structured sentences and paragraphs
Things students do care about: My dog is pretty cool, he runs the trails with me when I run or ride. My numerous children are also pretty cool. They play lots of soccer, lacrosse and basketball. They cause me trouble and are sweet most days.
